Living Pictures by Tony Stanton is the result of a hobby that grew into a passion and then into a business. The business was registered in 1999 and run as a part time enterprise for two years. Growth was rapid and the business went fulltime and took on its first employee in 2001. We are now Adelaide's fastest growing garden design practice!

Since then it has continued to expand. Over the financial year 2006 to 2007 the business has experienced rapid growth. We now have four designers each fully qualified horticulturists and designers.

Lee Gray is our southern area designer. Horticulture trained and holding a diploma in garden design, Lee has completed a number of beautiful designs. Most recently the native garden for Schefenacker at Lonsdale. Lee is very good at capturing the 'feel' of the garden that our client is trying to get.

Also down south is Kylie Hutt. Kylie loves the challenge of designing gardens that exactly match her clients lifestyle and personality. If pressed she will tell you that she likes formal gardens because they are east to maintain but she designs in all styles. Kylie too, has a Diploma in Garden Design.

Tracy Shipway looks after our clients in the central suburbs. Tracy is a talented designer with an eye for colour and proportion. Tracy loves designing courtyards and her attention to detail ensures that every inch is used to full effect. She has been designing for three years including two years with a landscaping contractor.

Jennie Martin also holds a diploma in garden design and looks after our northern suburbs clients. Jennie especially likes designing Mediterranean style gardens. Her plant knowledge and sense of space and proportion produce clean, no nonsense layouts with colour and balance.

Finally, Principal designer Tony Stanton holds a degree in Microbiology, Certificate three in Horticulture, is a licenced building supervisor and is a member of the Master Builder's Association. Tony has been designing and project managing gardens for seventeen years. Most of the gardens featured on this site are Tony's

We are also licenced builders with appropriate insurance cover. Growth is expected to continue into 2008 as we strive to be the very best exponents of Adelaide garden design.

Our specialty is garden design. We want to use our skills to design practical, functional and beautiful gardens that meet our client's specific needs. Since our very beginning we have been involved in designing low maintenance and low water-use gardens. This has largely been a response to the very busy lifestyles of our clients.

That experience now proves extremely useful to clients responding to the threat of water restrictions. One client even said ' It’s such a beautiful garden, you'd never guess it was drought-proof.' We can assist our clients to install the gardens for themselves or we can manage the installation on their behalf.
